Our Journey

Founders: Arundati Muralidharan & Tanya Mahajan

We met in 2014 during the first Menstrual Hygiene Day, sparking ideas on improving menstrual health. Seeing the need for a unifying platform, we launched Menstrual Health Alliance India (MHAi) in 2017—a collaborative space driving evidence-based policy and programs.

From 2017 to 2022, MHAi championed informed choice, quality menstrual products, waste management solutions, and policy advocacy at national and state levels.

In 2023, MHAi, as Menstrual Health Action for Impact, evolved into a think tank to leverage the menstrual health lens for informing progress across LMICs.
